Dwight R. Lueth



Dwight Lueth has been in the development field for more than 30 years. As principal of Dwight R. Lueth Associates, he has carried his vision for non-profits to more than 200 organizations of various sizes and missions, helping each of them to identify and confront their own unique challenges.

Prior to founding Dwight R. Lueth Associates, he was a writer and researcher for a mojor fund-raising firm and later in charge of foundation giving at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. Lueth has received awards for his work from the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and The Direct Marketing Association. He is the author of articles on direct marketing for cultural institutions and the elements of a successful capital campaign.

For a number of years, Mr. Lueth was an adjunct professor in the School of Management at Lesley University where he taught a graduate level course in capital campaigns and served as an academic advisor. He is a co-founder and past president of The Friday Forum, an association for senior fund-raising professionals in the greater Boston area. He speaks before professional organizations and has conducted workshops and seminars on subjects related to fund-raising and marketing.

Mr. Lueth received a B.A. in Management, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education and has completed further graduate work in both sociology and computer science. He lives with his wife, Sharon Baker, and their two young children in Wellesley.

Sharon L. Baker, Ph.D.



Dr. Baker is trained as a clinical psychologist. For nearly a decade, she was a member of the staff of the Psychiatry Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and held an appointment at Harvard Medical School. In addition to her clinical work there, she was involved in developing an implementing training seminars for clinical staff; supervising medical students, interns and residents; as well as writing grants, conducting research and publishing. She has presented at seminars and workshops in the areas of personal motivation and group and individual behavior change.

In 2001, after more than 25 years of working for both larg and small organizations within the non-profit sector in positions that included program delvelopment, implementation and evaluation as well as administration, Dr. Baker joined Dwight R. Lueth Associates. In addition to a broad range of experience in the non-profit sector, Dr. Baker brings with her significant expertise in organizational assessment and development. She helps organiztions conduct self-assessments and clarify what steps need to be taken to prepare the organization as a whole to undertake fundraising initiatives. Her work also includes capacity building – identifying areas of need and developing grant proposals.
